FAQ’s            

Like any technology-based product, AdjunctSuccess requires a brief period of adaptation. Hopefully the information provided below will expedite this period.

1.         How do I get a user name and password?

This information is sent to all members via e-mail from Ray Carpenter of our staff within 48 hours of our receiving the membership roster from your college or university, or if you are a self-paying member, after receiving your check. If that time frame has passed, and you cannot locate Ray’s e-mail, try the following:

Your user name is the e-mail address provided us at the time of your registration. [Hint: if you were assigned an institutional e-mail address, it is likely that it was the one that was provided us.] Once you have typed the correct user name into the Current Member section of the http://www.adjunctsuccess.net website, click on the Forgot My Password link. A form will appear that will enable you obtain your password within a few seconds.

If this does action does not retrieve your user name and password, simply send Ray an e-mail at ray@adjunctsuccess.net. Usually within 24 hours, you will receive a duplicate copy of the “welcome e-mail” mentioned above.

2.         How do I register to attend an AdjunctSuccess webinar?

The schedule of upcoming webinars is sent to all registered members by Richard Lyons twice each month through an e-newsletter. Multiple sessions of each webinar topic are provided each Fall and Spring semester. You may register for one session of any topic that you like. Please do so at least two hours in advance of its scheduled starting time.

To register for the webinar session of your choice:

1. Go to www.elluminate.com/member.jsp
2. Login exactly as follows:
3. Click on the Utilities tab at the top of the screen.
4. Click the Enroll button at the right.
5. Review the displayed Webinar schedule, clicking the Enroll link next to the sessions you wish to attend. Note:

This process will register you for the session and send you an email message with "AdjunctSuccess Webinar Information" in the subject line. The message will display the webinar time in your own time zone and repeat the instructions for how to access and login to the webinar.


3.         I attempted to register, but did not receive a confirmation e-mail. Help?

If you do not receive the emailed notification described above within a few hours of signing up, check your Junk Mail box to make sure it didn't get routed there by mistake. If you find it there, add adjunctsuccess.net and elluminate.com to your Safe Senders list to prevent this situation in the future.

4.         How do I attend a Webinar?

   Within 30 minutes of the webinar start time:

1. Go to http://www.elluminate.com/member.jsp
   2. Log in using uour Username/Password
3. Click the Detailed Schedule button at the top, right side of the screen.
4. Scroll down to see the Webinars listed for which you are registered that day.
5. Click on the "Join" link to the far right. (Hint: If you follow this procedure more than 30 minutes ahead of the session, you will see the Webinar listed for which you have registered, but the Join link will not be active yet.
6. Check the volume of your computer microphone, using the tools on the Elluminate "dashboard."

5.         In my first attempt to attend a webinar, I received an error message that said my computer is not configured to receive the Elluminate software. What do I do?

            Click on http://www.elluminate.com/support/ and run the wizard for first time users. It will configure your computer’s firewall to receive the software in just a few seconds.

6.         Do I need a computer microphone to participate in a webinar?

While you can participate without a microphone, having one will enrich your experience a great deal.

 

7          Is the Elluminate software difficult to learn?

An orientation to the Elluminate software is provided to all first-time webinar attendees. In addition, practice webinars [not produced by AdjunctSuccess] are available at the Elluminate website [see link in question #4 above].
           
8.         After the webinar has concluded, do I receive access to a recording of it?

Yes. When you register for, and actually log in to participate in the webinar, an e-mail from Ray will arrive with an embedded to link. Clicking on that link will take you directly to a recording.
Members  who do not register and log in to a particular webinar session will periodically have links to recordings of previously-delivered webinars sent to them by Richard Lyons.

9.         I had a technical problem arise that is a function of the Elluminate software. How do I address it?

            Phone the Elluminate help desk at 866-388-8674, option 2.
